MTR Facility Seamless Floor Upgrade

Alternative Surfaces were delighted to be chosen to work on the MTR Facility as part of their expansion and facility upgrade.

The project required a seamless flooring system which would assist with light reflection, be easy to clean and provide an extremely durable surface for the engineers to work on.

Based on the advantages of SIKA seamless systems over conventional floors like polished concrete and after installing 3 samples in advance to evaluate the best solution for MTR a high build SIKA epoxy with 2 coats of SikaFloor Urethane was chosen.  The products met the performance criteria specified for the project and seamless surface is easy to clean. The abrasion, chemical and impact resistance will provide a hard-wearing, long-lasting floor finish for a heavy-duty facility like this. The complete installation was finished in 7 days and after curing for 72 hours the facility was back in full production
